Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a GP Referral to see an Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist?

No, you do not need a referral for private consultations.

Can I claim Exercise Physiology & Physiotherapy under my private health?

Yes, Exercise Physiology is included in extras cover through many private health insurance providers. Ensure that you check with your provider what your rebates will be?

Can I see you under a referral from my GP?

Yes. If you qualify, your GP can refer you into the Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously Enhanced Primary Care Plan) which entitles you to 5 visits per annual year (with a very small gap) for management of your chronic condition. A chronic condition is classified as any condition that has lasted or is expected to last for longer than 6 months.

If you have Type 2 Diabetes you can also be referred to our Exercise Physiologist through the Type 2 Diabetes Management Plan which provides you with 1x initial assessment and 8x small group exercise physiology sessions.

Speak to your GP to see if you are eligible.
